TESTARE project at MATSUS25! |
|||
Dr. Maria Hadjipanayi (UCY) of TESTARE project with her team are co-organizing, with Dr. Markus Kohlstädt from the Fraunhofer Institute for Solar Energy Systems ISE, Germany and Dr. Anurag Krishna from Interuniversity Microelectronics Centre (imec), the #RECIPE25 Symposium "Reliability and Circularity of Perovskite-Based Photovoltaics - #RECIPE25", in the context of the "Materials for Sustainable Development Conference" which will be held at Sevilla, Spain on 3 -7 March 2025.
Perovskite based photovoltaics have the potential to play a key role as future technology in the renewable generation of electricity from sunlight. Besides scalability and reproducibility of fabrication processes, stability of perovskite-based single or multi-junction devices is a requirement to demonstrate their industrial feasibility. To this end, device encapsulation strategies need to be implemented to realize long lifetimes while being commercially viable and ultimately enabling recycling of materials after the products’ end of life. In this symposium, the stability testing of encapsulated perovskite based solar cells under accelerated stress testing and field testing will be discussed, complemented by insights into the current status of perovskite PV recycling aspects and circularity. The #RECIPE25 symposium in which TESTARE team is involved, will be focused on a range of topics related to perovskite solar cells (PSCs), stability, accelerated stress tests, field reliability, degradation pathways, circularity and life-cycle analysis. In this symposium, various aspects of the industrialization of perovskite PV will be discussed. Abstract submission is now open. Please, register below for the Conference before submitting an abstract. When: 3 March 2025 – 7 March 2025 - Sevilla, Spain. Symposium Organisers: Dr Maria Hadjipanayi (UCY), Dr. Markus Kohlstädt (Fraunhofer ISE) and Dr Anurag Krishna (imec).

TESTARE project at MATSUS24: Symposium #COMPER24 - "Towards Commercialization of Perovskite Photovoltaics: Scalability, Stability, and Circularity" |
|||
Dr. Maria Hadjipanayi (UCY) of TESTARE project with her team are co-organizing, with Dr. Tom Aernouts and Dr. Anurag Krishna from Interuniversity Microelectronics Centre (imec), the #COMPER24 - symposium "Towards Commercialization of Perovskite Photovoltaics: Scalability, Stability, and Circularity", in the context of the "Materials for Sustainable Development Conference" which will be held at Barcelona, Spain on the 4th - 8th of March 2024. The topical focus of the Conference will be the PSCs which have the potential to play a key role as future photovoltaics in the renewable generation of electricity from sunlight. For this vision to become true, currently prevailing limitations regarding the stability and scalability of PSCs need to be overcome to render the technology commercially viable. Since the power conversion efficiency (PCE) of single junction devices on a small area (∼0.1 cm2) reaches close to Shockley–Queisser limit, there is now a focus on the development of larger area perovskite solar modules. Scaling up the technology requires materials and processes that provide high homogeneity over a large area, batch-to-batch reproducibility, production yield, and low cost, which can ultimately enable a process transfer from laboratories to commercial fabrication lines. The #COMPER24 symposium in which TESTARE team is involved, will be focused on a range of topics related to perovskite solar cells (PSCs), such as materials and processes for large area deposition, new module design and interconnection strategies, module characterization with advanced techniques, stability testing (accelerated indoor and outdoor) and failure analysis, and the life cycle analysis and recycling of perovskite PV. In this symposium, various aspects of the industrialization of perovskite PV will be discussed. Abstract submission is now open. Please, register below for the Conference before submitting an abstract.

TESTARE 1st Scientific Webinar: “Towards upscaling stable single junction and tandem perovskite modules” on 13 December 2023 @ 13:00 – 14:00 CET |
|||
You are cordially invited to the TESTARE Webinar on “Towards upscaling stable single junction and tandem perovskite modules”, which is being organized by the TESTARE partner imec.
This webinar will focus on presenting innovative device architectures compatible with industry-standard techniques like sputtering, evaporation, and slot die coating, covering areas of up to approximately 800cm². The tandem approach represents an innovative strategy involving the integration of perovskite solar cells (PSCs) with other solar cell technologies. This collaborative fusion of materials aims to capitalise on their unique strengths, fostering a synergy that surpasses the limitations of individual cells and significantly amplifies overall energy conversion efficiency. During the webinar, participants will delve into the immense potential of perovskite tandem structures when deployed on larger scales. Stepping beyond the confines of laboratory experimentation, the scaling up of perovskite tandems presents a new set of challenges and opportunities. It becomes crucial to address scalability issues and fine-tune manufacturing processes to unlock the complete potential of perovskite tandem solar cells for practical, large-scale applications. When: Wednesday 13 December 2023, 13:00 – 14:00 CET. Speakers: Dr Arantxa Aguirre (imec), Dr Anurag Krishna (imec).
