The duration of the project is 3 years and the activities are divided into 8 Work Packages (WPs).
WP1 sets the groundwork for the successful project implementation by capturing first an accurate ‘snapshot’ of existing capacity of UCY (baseline) via a well-defined audit and secondly by formulating an appropriate R&I strategy for UCY to follow in this twinning exercise.
WP2-3-4 entail the main part of the project capacity building via Coordination and Support Actions (CSA). In particular, WP2 tasks involve all the R&I knowledge transfer via trainings, expert visits, thematic workshops, etc. all guided by thematic case studies.
WP3 deals with increased networking of UCY, introducing it to key academic/industrial players, and creating links with local Cypriot and EU stakeholders (academic, SME, industrial) that will allow it to pursue competitive funding, R&D projects, exploitation.
WP4 is the exploratory research project on Pero/Si modules having the dual purpose of generating pure new knowledge in the field and of integrating and validating the twinning actions as well as strengthening collaboration ties between the partners.
WP5 involves reviewing the yearly twinning results and evaluating the effectiveness of the CSA activities, allowing for appropriate activity adjustments.
WP6 contributes to the continued development of R&I excellence at UCY in the defined research field through setting up a sustainability framework for continuing the strong synergies built between the partners.
WP7 is about communicating the project outputs in an effective way and exploring opportunities for exploitation.
WP8 aims to ensure an efficient and smooth management and coordination of the project.
